Terms of service.
These terms explain the basic rules for using WeeJobs and how customers, workers, and tradies should use the platform.
These terms are a draft for review and should be checked before public launch. Last updated: 12 June 2026.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you access or use the WeeJobs website, early access forms, mobile app, or any related marketplace feature that WeeJobs makes available. By using WeeJobs, you agree to follow these terms and our privacy policy.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use WeeJobs.
2. Who uses WeeJobs
WeeJobs is designed for two main groups:
- Customers: people who post jobs, request help, ask for quotes, or choose someone to complete local work.
- Workers and tradies: local workers, handymen, tradespeople, helpers, students, side-hustlers, or other reliable people who want to find suitable local work.
Some parts of WeeJobs may use words such as worker, tradie, helper, customer, job poster, or user. These words are used to describe platform roles only.
3. Eligibility
You must be able to enter into a legal agreement to use WeeJobs. Worker, tradie, payment, and job contract features may require you to be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for making sure the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
4. WeeJobs' role
WeeJobs provides a platform to help customers and workers connect about local jobs. WeeJobs does not normally perform the jobs itself and is not an employer of workers or tradies using the platform.
Workers and tradies are independent from WeeJobs. They are responsible for how they price, quote, accept, carry out, and complete their work. Customers are responsible for choosing who they want to work with and checking that a worker or tradie is suitable for the job.
WeeJobs may provide tools for job posting, messaging, estimates, deposits, payment tracking, Wee Bucks, support, and admin review, but this does not mean WeeJobs controls or guarantees the work performed by users.
5. Posting jobs
Customers should provide clear, accurate, and lawful job details, including the type of work, location or area, timing, photos where helpful, budget information where relevant, and any important access or safety details.
You should not post jobs that are illegal, unsafe, misleading, discriminatory, abusive, or outside the intended use of WeeJobs. WeeJobs may remove job posts or restrict accounts where a post appears unsuitable or harmful.
6. Expressing interest and offers
Workers and tradies may browse suitable jobs and express interest, send a note, provide availability, or give an estimate depending on the job flow available. You should only express interest in jobs you are genuinely able and willing to discuss or complete.
Any offer, quote, estimate, or message should be honest and based on the information available at the time. If a job changes, users should update each other clearly through the platform where possible.
7. Job arrangements between users
When a customer chooses a worker or tradie, the work arrangement is between those users unless WeeJobs clearly states otherwise. Users are responsible for agreeing the scope, price, timing, access arrangements, materials, cancellation expectations, and completion details.
WeeJobs is designed to support clearer job tracking, but users remain responsible for using good judgement, checking details, and raising issues promptly if something is not right.
8. Wee Bucks
Wee Bucks are credits used by workers or tradies to express interest in suitable jobs or access job opportunities where that feature is available. The aim is to make access to local work clearer and fairer than blind lead chasing.
The number of Wee Bucks needed, when they are used, when they are held, when they are consumed, and when they may be released can depend on the job flow and platform rules shown at the time. For example, where appropriate, the winning worker's Wee Bucks may be consumed when a job is finalised, while other interest may be handled according to the platform rules.
Wee Bucks are not cash, do not earn interest, and may be subject to account rules, expiry rules, fair use rules, refunds, or adjustments where required. WeeJobs should make the current Wee Bucks rules available before users spend them.
9. Payments, deposits, and fees
Some jobs may involve deposits, payment tracking, billing records, service fees, booking fees, or other charges. Where these features are available, the relevant price, fee, deposit, or payment step should be shown before the user commits.
Payments may be handled by third-party payment providers. Those providers may have their own terms and checks. Users are responsible for any tax, VAT, insurance, licensing, or reporting obligations that apply to money they receive or pay through WeeJobs.
For quotation jobs, a customer may pay a deposit where required before the job moves forward. If a deposit is paid before an estimate is ready, WeeJobs should clearly show that the worker or tradie still needs to send the estimate.
10. Cancellations, refunds, and job changes
Customers and workers should communicate promptly if a job needs to change or be cancelled. Cancellation, refund, deposit, Wee Bucks, and fee outcomes may depend on the job stage, whether work has started, whether costs have been incurred, and the platform rules shown at the time.
WeeJobs may review cancellations or payment issues and may make account, billing, refund, or credit adjustments where appropriate. This does not remove any legal rights a user may have.
11. Reviews, ratings, and feedback
Where reviews or ratings are available, they should be honest, fair, and based on a genuine experience. Users must not post reviews that are false, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, abusive, or intended to unfairly damage another user.
WeeJobs may remove or moderate reviews that appear to breach these terms or harm trust in the platform.
12. User conduct
You agree not to:
- Use WeeJobs for illegal, unsafe, misleading, harmful, or abusive activity.
- Post false job details, fake profiles, fake reviews, spam, or misleading offers.
- Discriminate against, harass, threaten, or abuse another user.
- Try to avoid platform rules, payment flows, fees, deposits, or Wee Bucks rules.
- Interfere with the security, availability, or operation of the website or platform.
- Upload malware, scrape the platform, or misuse another person's account or information.
- Use WeeJobs in a way that damages trust, safety, or the local marketplace.
13. Safety and suitability
WeeJobs aims to support clearer local job arrangements, but users are responsible for making sensible decisions. Customers should check worker suitability, permissions, qualifications, insurance, and references where needed. Workers and tradies should check that a job is safe, lawful, realistic, and suitable before accepting or attending.
Do not use WeeJobs for emergency work where immediate professional or emergency service help is required.
14. Intellectual property and user content
The WeeJobs name, website, app, design, content, software, and platform materials belong to WeeJobs or its licensors. You may use WeeJobs only for its intended purpose.
When you add content to WeeJobs, such as job details, photos, messages, profile details, or reviews, you confirm you have the right to share it. You give WeeJobs permission to host, display, process, and use that content as needed to operate, support, secure, and improve the platform.
15. Account suspension and termination
WeeJobs may suspend, restrict, or close an account if a user breaches these terms, creates risk for other users, misuses the platform, fails checks, causes payment issues, or acts in a way that may harm WeeJobs or the marketplace.
You may stop using WeeJobs at any time. Ending your account does not remove responsibilities that arose before the account ended, such as payment, tax, legal, support, or dispute obligations.
16. Disputes and support
Customers and workers should first try to resolve job issues directly and fairly through the platform where possible. If that does not work, users may contact WeeJobs support through the contact page.
WeeJobs may review messages, job records, payment activity, Wee Bucks activity, and other relevant information to help understand an issue. WeeJobs may take action it considers reasonable, such as account restrictions, refunds, credit adjustments, review moderation, or support guidance. WeeJobs does not guarantee that every dispute can be resolved to every user's satisfaction.
17. Liability
WeeJobs does not promise that the website, app, jobs, users, messages, estimates, payments, or outcomes will always be error-free, uninterrupted, available, or suitable for every need. To the fullest extent allowed by law, WeeJobs is not responsible for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or issues caused by user conduct or work performed by users.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or rights that cannot be excluded under consumer law.
18. Changes to these terms
WeeJobs may update these terms as the website, app, payment flows, Wee Bucks rules, and marketplace features develop. The latest version should be made available on this page. If a change is material, WeeJobs should take reasonable steps to tell users through the website, app, or email.
19. Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, unless mandatory consumer law gives you rights in another place. The final jurisdiction wording should be checked before public launch.
20. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, please contact WeeJobs through the contact page.
