1. Before a service provider is booked
A customer can cancel an open job before paying a booking deposit. Wee Bucks held for interested service providers are released through the platform flow where the job is cancelled or expires before selection.
2. Booking deposits
- Fixed-budget job: 10% of the posted budget, with a £10 minimum and £50 maximum.
- Quote-required job: a fixed £20 deposit, credited against the final invoice if the job proceeds.
The amount is shown before payment. A quotation deposit does not approve a quote that has not yet been sent.
3. Customer cancellation
A customer is ordinarily eligible for a full booking-deposit refund when cancellation is completed before the selected service provider marks the job “On the way”. Once that journey stage begins, the refund is not automatic because travel, reserved time or costs may have been incurred.
After “On the way”, contact support. We consider the job record, messages, timing, agreed scope, costs, provider conduct and any rights the law gives you. A refund may still be appropriate for provider fault, misrepresentation, fraud, unsafe or unlawful work, or another legal reason.
4. Service provider cancellation
If the selected service provider cancels, the customer ordinarily receives a full booking-deposit refund. WeeJobs may also review the provider's account and release or adjust billing records as the platform rules require.
5. Work changes and final payment
Customers and service providers should agree changes to scope, materials, timing and price before changed work begins. For quote-required work, the £20 deposit is deducted from the approved final invoice. Do not approve or pay an amount you do not understand.
A dispute about workmanship or the user-to-user job contract does not automatically make WeeJobs liable for the work. We may help review platform records and facilitate communication.
6. Wee Bucks outcomes
Wee Bucks held for a service provider who is not selected are released. The selected provider's held credits are consumed when the booking is finalised. Where a later cancellation qualifies for a Wee Bucks correction under the in-app flow, the ledger will record it. Purchased credit is not otherwise redeemable for cash.
7. Requesting a refund
Use the cancellation option in the app where available. If the job cannot be cancelled there, email support@weejobs.net with the account email, job reference, reason and any relevant evidence. Do not send full card or bank details.
We aim to acknowledge ordinary payment complaints within two working days and resolve them within ten working days. Complex cases can take longer and we will provide an update.
8. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are returned through Stripe to the original payment method. WeeJobs can initiate the refund promptly, but the bank or card issuer controls when it appears. This commonly takes several working days.
9. Chargebacks and suspected fraud
Contact us first where practical so we can investigate. If a charge is disputed through a bank or card issuer, we may give Stripe relevant booking, communication and payment evidence. We may restrict an account while a fraud or chargeback review is active.
10. Your legal rights
This policy does not limit rights that cannot be excluded, including rights concerning services not provided with reasonable care and skill, unauthorised payments or misleading practices. Users remain responsible for the separate job contract between them.
