FAQ

Questions people ask before joining WeeJobs.

What is WeeJobs?

WeeJobs is an adults-only local jobs marketplace. Customers post practical jobs and independent service providers express interest. WeeJobs provides the platform and payment tools, but the customer and service provider contract directly for the work.

Who can use WeeJobs?

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use marketplace features. Service providers must be legally able, appropriately qualified and properly insured for any work where those requirements apply.

How does WeeJobs work for customers?

Post a job with useful details, photos, location, timing and budget information. Suitable local service providers can express interest, and you choose who you want to move forward with. You remain responsible for checking that the person is suitable for the job.

What kind of jobs can I post?

WeeJobs supports lawful local work such as handyman jobs, garden help, cleaning, clearance, decorating, deliveries, repairs, joinery, plumbing and electrical work. Regulated work must only be carried out by someone with the legally required registration and competence.

How do I choose a service provider?

Review the profile, experience, note, availability, quote and fit for the work. Ask questions and check qualifications, registrations, insurance and references where relevant. WeeJobs does not guarantee a user's suitability or workmanship.

Are service providers employed by WeeJobs?

No. Service providers are independent from WeeJobs. They choose which opportunities to pursue and are responsible for pricing, quoting, tax, insurance and how they carry out accepted work.

How do Wee Bucks work?

Under PAYG, a job unlock currently costs £3. Credits are held when a service provider expresses interest. The hold is released if another provider is selected and consumed if that provider wins the job. Wee Bucks cannot be withdrawn or transferred.

Do Wee Bucks expire or get refunded?

Purchased Wee Bucks do not currently expire while an account remains active. They are non-refundable, subject to mandatory legal rights, and unused credits are forfeited if the account is deleted.

What does PRO cost?

PRO costs £89 every four weeks and renews automatically until cancelled. It is not a monthly plan, so an uninterrupted year normally includes 13 charges. The current PRO platform fee is 4%.

What fees do service providers pay?

The current platform fee is 10% under PAYG and 4% under PRO. With the current payment setup, WeeJobs bears Stripe's processing fee rather than deducting it separately from the provider payout.

Do customers pay a deposit?

Yes, when a booking moves forward. A fixed-budget deposit is 10% of the posted budget, with a £10 minimum and £50 maximum. A quote-required job uses a fixed £20 deposit, which is credited against the final invoice if the job proceeds.

Can I cancel a booked job?

A customer ordinarily receives a full deposit refund if they cancel before the service provider marks the job On the way. A provider cancellation ordinarily results in a full customer deposit refund. Later cases are reviewed under the cancellation policy.

How do service providers get paid?

Where the app payment flow is used, Stripe processes the customer payment and provider payout. The applicable WeeJobs platform fee is deducted before payout. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks can affect the final amount.

Does WeeJobs verify service providers?

WeeJobs may review application, identity, insurance or qualification information, but a label means only the specific check described in the app. Customers must still decide whether a provider is suitable for the particular job.

How are rough estimates worked out?

The optional app feature sends the chosen category, general area and job description to OpenAI to produce a rough range. It does not intentionally send your name, contact details, photos or exact address. The result can be wrong and is not a quote or professional advice.

What if something goes wrong?

Use in-app reporting where available or email support@weejobs.net. WeeJobs may review platform messages, job records and payments. Call 999 for immediate danger because WeeJobs is not an emergency service.

How do I delete my account?

Use Delete account in app settings. Resolve active jobs and payouts first. Unused Wee Bucks are forfeited, and some payment, tax, safety or dispute records may be retained where law requires it.

Where is WeeJobs launching?

WeeJobs is launching first in the Causeway Coast and Glens area of Northern Ireland, with the aim of expanding over time.

How do I contact support or privacy?

Email support@weejobs.net for account, job, payment or safety help. Email privacy@weejobs.net for data protection requests and complaints.
