If you are a tradesperson, you know the frustration of paying for leads that go nowhere. WeeJobs was built to be fairer. You see the job details before you spend anything, and you only spend Wee Bucks on the jobs you actually want.
Here is how to get the most out of it.
Build a profile customers trust
- Use a clear, friendly profile photo.
- Write a short bio in your own words: what you do, the areas you cover and the kind of jobs you enjoy.
- Add photos of real work you have done. Before and after shots work especially well.
- Keep your areas up to date so you see jobs where you actually work.
Choose the right jobs
Read the job details and photos before you express interest. Ask yourself whether it suits your skills, your area and your diary. It is better to win the jobs you want than to chase every lead. When you express interest on a pay-as-you-go plan, it uses Wee Bucks, and they are released back to you if the customer does not choose you.
Reply quickly and clearly
Customers often go with the person who makes things easy. When you are chosen:
- Message the customer to introduce yourself.
- Confirm whether the job is fixed price or hourly.
- If you need to see the job first, say so and arrange a visit.
- Be clear about materials, timing and anything that could change the price.
Price clearly
When you are chosen, the customer picks fixed price or hourly. For a fixed price, send a clear quote that lists what is included. For hourly work, send an honest estimate first, visiting if you need to, then invoice the actual time when the job is done. Customers are far more comfortable when there are no surprises, and clear pricing leads to better reviews.
Keep your diary realistic
Only show interest in jobs you can actually fit in. If a customer chooses you and you cannot do the job, it is better for both of you to say so straight away. Being reliable is what gets you repeat work and recommendations around the area.
Do the job well, then ask for a review
Reviews on your WeeJobs profile help future customers choose you. Once a job is complete, it is fine to ask the customer to leave one.
PAYG or PRO?
Pay-as-you-go suits tradespeople who want a few local jobs. PRO is a plan billed every four weeks with unlimited standard lead unlocks, a lower completion fee and the priority-placement features shown as available on the purchase screen, which may suit busier tradespeople. See how Wee Bucks work and the PRO terms.
